Firmware is the computer software that makes your TV (and all electronic hardware) work. Here’s how you can get the latest TV firmware…
It’s worth keeping your TV firmware up to date as doing so can enable new features, make things work more efficiently and even fix any annoying bugs.
However, using the wrong firmware or installing it incorrectly can stop a product working and so it’s important that you know what you’re doing.
At Hisense, our Customer Support provides access to all of our TV firmware to ensure that the correct model and correct process is always being used. As such they are required to verify your specific television model before providing any new firmware.
If there is an available firmware version available, Customer Support will provide access to it immediately along with instructions on how to update it.
Please be with your product and contact Hisense Customer Support on 1800 447 367 to get the latest TV firmware for your television.
Hisense Customer Support hours of operation are Monday to Friday 8:30am to 7:30pm AEST and weekends from 9am to 5pm AEST.
For some models, you can update your firmware directly from the TV itself, as long as it’s connected to the internet.
Steps to get the latest TV firmware from your Hisense TV:
- Press the settings button (it looks like a cog) on your Hisense remote.
- Navigate to “All”, then “About” and “Software Update”.
- Press “Detect” to get the latest TV firmware.
